My Heart is in Oklahoma

I know everyone knows what has happened in Moore, OK by now.  I have been glued to the TV from almost the moment it happened.  Both of my girls live in Oklahoma City so naturally I was very worried.  I am from Oklahoma so I know everyone is quite prepared for this type of event but it is frightening all the same.  My heart goes out to those who have lost so much.  I can not imagine your pain.  Losing a child, grandchild, mother, father, sisters, or brother is what we all dread.  Death is so final.  The lost house, cars, and memories pale in comparison.  I know it takes a long time to get back to anything like normal in these cases.  I well remember the two other tornadoes that hit that spot years ago.  In 1999 the following day we had a tornado hit about 5 miles from our house.  We huddled in closets in the middle of the night.  As tree limbs hit the roof I thought "here we go".  But as it was we missed out on the damage that many had that night.  A few weeks later we went through Moore on I35 and I cried.  It looked like the war zone everyone talks about.  There in the midst of the rubble was a hand painted sign "Looks Like a Tornado Hit this Place".  In the war zone was a bit of humor.  I remember my mom looking at my room at times and saying the same thing.

You will not keep Americans down!  It just will not happen.  To all of those who seem to hoarding supplies in the event of some tragedy, whether imagined or real, I say Americans will stand tall.  We will help each other.  That is what we do. We have seen it time and time again. The Oklahoma City Bombing, 9/11, and Katrina.  Americans will stand up and help.  Sometime a few will get out of hand but it doesn't last long because we are united.

I love you Oklahoma, I love you America, I love all of you OKIES and we will get through this once again.

Too Much Going ON!!!!!

Well it has been a long while since my last post.  I finally have my studio back.  I straightened it up the other day.  I finished a crazy heart I had worked on but not much else craft wise.
 When My Heart Smiles

We acquired a reef aquarium and I had to do a crash coarse in reefs!  No easy task by any means.  All those lives in my hands is scary when things are not going right.  I am not a chemist and there is a ton of chemistry to this hobby.  Many times I wondered what on earth am I doing.  I have almost given up half a dozen times.  I am starting to get the hang of it and I can look at it for hours on end if I am not careful.  It is awesome!

This Australian Elegance is my pride and joy.  I think she is beautiful.  I thought I was going to lose her but she has rallied around and is quite the show piece.

This tank is a 180 gallon wet spot to throw your money into!  It is not complete yet but we are working on it as we can.  It seems to be one battle at a time.  Keeping it healthy is the priority really.
There is so much more to it.  It is not easy to photograph at all.  I don't have the way to photograph it with the LED lights on yet.  Still so much to learn.
